Ideas For Spring Jewellery
Embrace Spring Elegance With Semi Precious Beads
Pastel Perfection
Spring brings a sense of renewal and rejuvenation. Embrace the beauty of this season by making jewellery with semi-precious beads. From delicate florals to vibrant hues. Some enchanting ideas to inspire:
Adopt the soft colours of spring by adding pastel beads like rose quartz, aquamarine, and lavender amethyst into your designs. Create dainty necklaces with clusters of pastel beads – adding metal charms or freshwater pearls for an ethereal touch. Pair a pastel bead bracelet with flowing sundresses or a linen blouse for a feminine look with springtime charm. For our pastels click: Pastel Beads.
Blooming Beauties
Capture the essence of spring flowers with floral-inspired jewellery, with jade, coral, and peridot beads. Design statement earrings with intricate beadwork in the shape of blooming petals or cascading vines. Craft floral bead pendants or brooches using wire wrapping to create lifelike petals and leaves – reminiscent of a spring garden in full bloom. For our floral beads click: Flower Beads.
Sunshine Sparkle
Infuse your designs with the vibrant energy of the sun – with citrine, carnelian, and amber beads. Design beaded bracelets featuring sunny yellow beads, with gold-toned findings and sparkling crystals for a radiant and joyful look.
Create bold statement necklaces with chunky citrine or amber beads – adding warmth and optimism to your spring ensemble. For our yellows click: Yellow Beads, or Amber Beads or Citrine Beads.
Oceanic Opulence
Transport yourself to tranquil shores with jewellery inspired by sea. Colours featuring turquoise, amazonite or lapis lazuli beads. Design beaded anklets with turquoise and amazonite beads with seashell charms or tiny starfish for a beachy vibe that’s perfect for spring and summer. Craft elegant lapis lazuli necklaces with intricate beadwork like ocean waves. For our blues, click Blue Beads or Turquoise Beads.
Elegant Earth Tones
Channel the natural beauty of spring with designs highlighting beads in earthy tones – such as jasper, agate, and tiger’s eye. See our Jasper Beads or Agate Beads or Tiger Eye Beads.
Create choker necklaces with richly coloured jasper beads – interspersed with hammered metal accents for a bohemian look.
Design beaded wrap bracelets with a mix of agate and tiger’s eye beads in warm, earthy hues – to add a touch of rustic charm to the spring wardrobe. Infuse your creations with the essence of the season. Gather your beads, unleash your creativity, and let your jewellery-making journey bloom this spring!
Bead Fair Reports
Luton Bead Fair
Luton is always busy, but this was are best yet! Good job Steve helped us out. Many buyers nipped up the M1 from London to visit us. Although the hall is small, we still manage to display everything – great more than a Gem n Bead Fair. Back Saturday 19th October.
New Forest Bead FairWe all love Brockenhurst – there’s something exciting about all the animals everywhere! As usual a great show, with many keen visitors. We’ll be back Sunday 8th September.
Bead Threading Machine
Ever wondered how beads are threaded ready to sell? It can take for ever by hand, especially if you’re threading thousands of strings.
Well, like most things these days, it’s done by machine. Beads are driven by a roller into a plastic pipe. Vibration then causes the movement of beads, so that the bead holes’ automatically enter a fixed needle, adding to the thread. Fast and efficient!
Mr & Mrs Bead’s Southern-Spain, Gibraltar and Morocco Trip
We can’t work 7-days weeks all the time. So over Easter we took a beak. As far south we could go in just 8-days – for the sun. Stansted to Saville, made our way down to Gibraltar, boat over to Tangier, and a train to Fez from where we flew back.
Lot of fun with some good food – BUT only one day without heavy rain! The cable-car was closed because of heavy wind in Gibraltar, so we got soaked walking up the rock. We had to change the ferry to Tangier due to bad weather – and even in Africa it was difficult to buy an umbrella without being soaked. Picture shows MiMi drying her shoe with a hear-dryer!
This time in Morocco, we didn’t buy any beads – but we did check out some of the bead shops. Mostly Moroccan Tribal Berber beads. If you would like to buy some, we have some left from our previous trip there, great for a fashionable rustic look. Click Berber Rainbow Nugget Beads.

See the latest semi precious from our recent shipment. We try to cover all the UK: from Cornwall to Scotland, Wales to Norfolk, London, and all in-between!
