Easter Elegance – Fun With Easter Jewellery
Easter is a time of celebration and renewal – embrace this spirit by creating your own Easter jewellery.
Design Ideas:
Easter Egg Delight
Create a vibrant and playful necklace or bracelet by stringing together semi-precious beads in the shape and colours of Easter eggs.
Spring Garden Bracelet
Combine floral-themed beads like jade or peridot to mimic a spring garden. Mix smaller beads in contrasting colours for a lively and fresh look.
Pastel Harmony Earring
Craft a pair of elegant earrings using pastel-coloured semi-precious beads arranged in a gradient pattern. Finish them off with small charms for a touch of sophistication.
Faithful Cross Necklace
Design a necklace with the spiritual aspect of Easter – using semi-precious beads in calming hues, accented by a central cross pendant.
Bunny Hop Bracelet
Feature adorable bunny-shaped beads or charms along with complementary beads to create a bracelet that captures the joy of Easter.
Materials Needed
1. Pastel shades of beads, like rose quartz, aquamarine, or amethyst for the Easter palette.
2. Suitable jewellery wire or elastic cord.
3. Clasps and findings to secure you pieces together.
4. Pliers to help cut wire and securing clasps.
5. Charms or pendants to add an extra layer – like Easter eggs, bunnies, or crosses.
EASTER BEADS
Easter Friday is on 29th March – so get your Easter designs ready now! Easter’s a great time to sell jewellery – spring has arrived, and buyers are keen for new designs. There’s also many spring fairs for you to sell at.
Bunny, egg designs and flower beads are great. Light yellow, green, or anything pastel. Hight key and enlightening. Resurrect your old non-sellers, by taking apart and adding different beads for a new design.
Choose pastel colours and mix them to make a bright, light, design. Pearls are also popular this time of year, along with all types of crystal and jade.
These all produce a bright, high-key look. White, yellows, greens and pinks look good, giving a spring-like feel. Colourful seed beads can be used to cover eggs and other objects to give an Easter look.
Give a loved one a pearl necklace for an Easter present – she’s look great wearing it on Easter Day. Flower bead bracelets and earrings are so easy to make too. Happy Easter!

Wire Wrapping Is Easy!
Wire wrapping is an and easy way to make great pendants to use as originally-designed classy necklaces. All you need is some craft wire, a few pliers and something to wrap.
Almost anything can be wrapped, from river and beach rocks, sea glass, tumbled stone to more-expensive gemstones. With a little imagination you will be able to produce stunning jewellery.
After learning wrapping a few stones, you should be able to wrap a rock in just a few minutes. Practice with a roll of cheap wire from your local hardware store. Then when you get the hang of it, buy 18-gauge craft wire online.
Most start using wire cutters and needle-nose pliers – but flat-nose, nylon-jaw and round-nose pliers are better. Invest in a pair of good nylon jaw pliers, as they’re especially designed for shaping craft wire and wire wrapping. The nylon jaws protect the surface of the wire, avoiding rebuffing the wire after forming.
Google ‘Wire Wrapping’ for ideas on design and style, but there are endless possibilities twisting and turning. The raw simplicity of the technique and the satisfaction of creating original designs make it so much fun.

London Gem n Bead Fair Report
Kempton Park is always busy, at least on the Saturday. However, this time Saturday was terrible – few visitors and few sales. Maybe it was the rain, maybe the cold, who knows?
Sunday was better, but overall, the show wasn’t really worth it for us because of the time, work involved and high costs.
At least there was a horse race meeting on the Saturday. The first time we’ve actually seen a real horse there in 18-years! Below pictures are Kempton Park and Yum Yum restaurant in the evening.
Still, we’ll have to think twice about this show next March. Although we will be back this summer, 27th July and in November.
