2025 Fashion Colour Trends
In 2025, several fashion colours are emerging. Highlighting the relationship between colour and culture – and influencing jewellery bead colours. There’s a movement towards soft, neutral, and earthy tones in 2025, reflecting a desire for elegance and natural beauty.

True Joy
Dulux’s Colour Of 2025 is ‘True Joy’. An “uplifting yellow was created to fill your homes with creative energy, optimism and pride”, say Dulux. Zesty yellow beads have always brightened jewellery, making designs stand out and cry ‘Buy Me’! Think citrine, amber, and lemon jasper and jade.
Mocha Mousse
Pantone’s Colour of the Year is ‘Mocha Mousse’. Pantone says it “expresses a level of thoughtful indulgence. Sophisticated and lush, yet at the same time an unpretentious classic. Mocha Mousse extends our perceptions of the browns from being humble and grounded to embrace aspirational and luxe.” Think lush whipped chocolate – bronzite, coconut shell, chocolate jasper and jade, chocolate pearls.
Powder Pink
This soft, light, and romantic shade has become a significant trend for spring 2025. Designers like Miu Miu, Khaite, Brandon Maxwell, and Alaïa have incorporated powder pink into their collections, pairing it with billowy silks and gauzy organza to create classic and effortless glamour. Think rose quartz, peruvian opal, pink jade and tourmaline, and rainflower.
Yves Klein Blues and Refreshing Pastels
Vibrant colors such as Yves Klein blues and refreshing pastels are among the top trends for spring 2025.
Teddy Bear Brunette
In hair colour trends, a neutral mid-tone brown gaining popularity. This shade offers a blend between blonde and brunette, providing a warm, sun-kissed honey tone. Some ambers and yellow topaz are about as close any semi precious beads is to this colour.
Pastel Yellow
Also known as ‘Butter Yellow’. Predicted to be a major colour for spring, with retailers like Sainsbury’s Tu Clothing offering items in this hue. This creamy, soft shade is versatile and can be paired with many colours. Think pineapple yellow jade, citrine and light amber,

Ideas For Making Winter Jewellery
Making your own winter beaded jewellery is a fun and creative way to embrace the season’s beauty. Create ‘cozy’ jewellery by experimenting with different beads and techniques.
Capture the beauty of winter with cool tones & shimmering crystals. Whether you create pieces for yourself or as handmade gifts, these styles will bring a touch of winter magic to any outfit.
• Plan Your Design
Sketch your design or lay out the beads on a bead board to visualize the arrangement. Think about incorporating winter motifs like snowflakes, icicles or stars.
• Creating Winter-Themed Earrings
Attach a snowflake charm or dangling icicle bead to an earring hook using a jump ring – then with pliers close the jump ring. Experiment with different lengths and beads to create unique designs.
• Winter Wonderland Ice Queen Bracelets
Use icy blue, white, and clear beads with silver spacers. Garnet or amethyst beads go well together, and deep red and purple tones give a warm winter vibe
.Cozy Sweater Bracelet
Chunky knit-inspired beads in warm tones like burgundy, forest green, and cream.
• Rustic Designs
Try mixing wooden beads with felted wool beads for a cozy look. Alternatively, a leather & bead wrap bracelet, or combining beads with leather cords for an earthy, wintery style.
• Tips for a Stunning Winter Look
Mix and match textures: combine matte and glossy beads for contrast. Incorporate metal findings or silver beads to add a luxurious touch. Use clear beads or crystals to mimic ice and snow. Add charms like small snowflakes, icicles or reindeer to make your designs fun.

Mr & Mrs Bead’s Lake Como Trip
We took advantage of no bead fairs in January, by a week’s trip around Lake Como Italy; & a day in St Moritz, Switzerland.
The 2 1/2-hour train ride from Tirano in Italy to St Moritz in Switzerland was interesting. At the Bernina Pass the line reaches over 7,000-feet above sea-level, passing dramatic views of mountains, glaciers, and valleys. Above picture shows MiMi avove the frozen lake in St Moritz.
Enjoy a Bead Fair Soon!
Bead shows are great fun – you will love them! Bring a trolley, as beads get heavy. Take some cash, as a few venues have a weak signal for card payments. Talk to the vendors and other visitors to inspire new design ideas. Make a note of what you paid for beads, and keep exhibitors’ business cards and leaflets.
