Embrace Nature’s Beauty With Beaded Jewellery for Summer 2023
The season of warmth, vibrancy, and joy. This summer, jewellery enthusiasts are eager for the latest trends that celebrate nature, sustainability, and personal expression.
From delicate bracelets to statement necklaces, jewellery designs are all about harmonizing with the environment and reflecting the essence of the season.
- Earthy Tones and Organic Materials
In Summer 2023, expect to see beaded jewellery with earthy tones and organic materials. Natural gemstones like turquoise, jade, coral, and agate will take centre stage, reflecting the beauty of nature. - Sustainable, Ethical Sourcing Beads
With increasing focus on sustainability and ethical practices, the latest beaded jewellery designs for summer 2023 prefer eco-friendly materials. Designers are turning to recycled glass, wooden beads, and ethically sourced pearls to create pieces that have a positive impact on the environment. - Nautical and Beach-inspired Designs
Summertime calls for beach escapades and seaside adventure. Jewellery designers are drawing inspiration from the ocean and beach scenery. Seashells, starfish, and other marine elements will be incorporated into necklaces and bracelets. With colours of soft ocean-inspired hues, like aquamarine, seafoam green, and sandy beige. - Personalized and Meaningful Creations
This year, individuality is cherished, making personalized jewellery popular. So summer 2023 will see a surge in custom-made designs that allow wearers to express their personality. From initials and birthstones to significant symbols – anything with special meaning for keepsakes. - Layering and Stacking
Layering beaded jewellery continues to gain traction in the fashion world. This summer, expect to see multiple strands of delicate beaded necklaces adored with tiny charms or pendants. Complementing this trend, stackable bracelets with varying bead sizes, colours, and textures help create a bohemian, carefree vibe. - Bold and Bright Statements
Bold and eye-catching statements are also fashion this summer. Beaded jewellery featuring vivid, playful coloursClick For All Our Summer Beads

London Gem n Bead Fair Report
The London show at Kempton park, is always the largest Gem n Bead Fair with around 50 exhibitors.
This one was more busy than other Gem n Beads, but we could have done with more visitors. Some regular rock traders were missing, but replaced by new exhibitors. We’ll be back at Kempton on 11th-12th November, which is always the busiest Gem n Bead of the year.

ABALONE BEADS
Abalone are marine snails, sometimes called the “Ears Of The Sea”. Chinese pay a high price to eat abalone flesh – but it’s the shells that are used for jewellery. The shimmer of abalone shell draws attention is so attractive.
Abalone shell has a spiral structure, with several open respiratory pores in a row near the shell’s outer edge. The thick inner layer of the shell is composed of mother-of-pearl which give the colour.
Abalone shell connects you to the energy of the ocean, reminding us to be loving and gentle with our loved ones. Said to bring natural shielding and tranquility.
Abalone is expensive because demand is high, and there’s a limit on divers’ how much they can harvest. See our abalone beads at one of our bead fairs.
2023 Bead Fairs
We’re doing less Gem n Bead Fairs, and more of our own single day shows. Most of our own shows are free entry & free refreshments.
They’re also more busy, giving visitors a buzz and chance to share ideas together! If you feel we’re not near you, let me know and I’ll consider your location.
